WINNING CLIENTS
  1. Market to your target audience.  Attend bridal shows, create a website, sign up for local listings, etc.

  2. Talk with prospective clients.  Tell about offerings and book a consultation.

  3. Meet with the engaged couple and/or parents.  Present samples of work and tell about services.

  4. Take the couple’s engagement photos.  If the couple has not signed on for the wedding yet, this can be a way to get signed on for the wedding.

SET UP YOUR STUDIO

  1. Prepare a reception area.

  2. Set up studio locations.

  3. Build a dressing room.

  4. Set up a printing and work room.

  5. Build a viewing room.  Include a projector, computer and ExpressDigital DARKROOM software.

AT THE WEDDING

  1. Shoot the traditional poses.  Take photos of the bride and groom, wedding party and family.

  2. Photograph key moments.  Highlights include the wedding ceremony, cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet and much more.

  3. Take photojournalistic shots throughout the wedding event.

  4. Show slideshow at reception.  Load pictures onto a laptop throughout the day.  Offer to show pictures of the pre-wedding hours and ceremony at the reception.

  5. If the clients agree, post pictures of the wedding as soon as possible on PhotoReflect.com.  Pass cards out during the wedding so guests can purchase photos after the wedding.

AFTER THE WEDDING

  1. Load all pictures from the wedding.

  2. Choose the best shots.  Go through all the photos and choose the best images to show the clients.

  3. Make edits to show your best work.  Edits may include color, cropping, color effects, etc.

  4. Buy ExpressDigital Templates, purchase templates from partner companies or make your own templates in the Template Workshop.  Templates are great for album pages, portraits and more!

  5. Retouch the photos.  Take extra care with retouching and see the results during the sale.

VIEWING SESSION

  1. Welcome the newlyweds and parents.  Sit the clients down in the viewing room and offer refreshments.

  2. Open DARKROOM.  Use the Presentation Mode to show and sell the pictures.

  3. Start with a slideshow of all the selected photos.  Set the slideshow to music and let the clients enjoy the show.

  4. Go through each photo and rate the photos.

  5. Present the client the package options.  Have different pricing available based on sizes, quantities and finished products such as albums.

  6. Sort by rating.  Start by showing the 5-star photos.

  7. Narrow down the favorites.  Compare photos side-by-side and continue rating.

  8. Make selections of packages and photos within DARKROOM.

  9. Print a thumbnail receipt.  Collect payment and exchange for receipt.

  10. Schedule the date of picking up the final products.

DELIVERY OF PRODUCT

  1. Print additional orders and specialty products yourself or through professional labs on the Labtricity network.  There are over 200 labs to choose from for all your professional printing needs.

  2. Frame requested finished products.
